Luminary

1." but the figure inside the booth remained hunched over, oblivious, ong hand resting on the table, the other holding a cigar, never looking up, no matter how many times Eddie howled it, over and ocer again: "Dad! Dad! Dad!'"
2. "he looks concerned. 'Eddie,' he says. 'come down. there's a phone call. I think something happened to your father."
3. "Eddie has once hoped death would mean reunion with those who went before him."

1. I think this is an important part of the book because it shows the resentment and regret Eddie felt towards his father; emotions he brought to heaven with him. It also shows that Eddie wanted to fix his relationship with his father.
