1. When Eddie looks again at the picture, he feels sad but hopeful because he knows that she will be waiting for him when he returns from war.
1. When he looks at the picture in his helmet, he feels very sad as well as other emotions but mainly he is hopeful for his return to home to see her, where she is waiting for him.
2. That he lived it bitterly and selfishly?
3. Because without that forgiveness he would forever think his leg as a hinderence but now he can be more acccepting of this injury knowing the Captain had suffered even more then he had.
When Eddie sees the old picture of Marguerite in his helmet a rush of emotions he once left years ago come back to him. He is surprised to see it and he feels lonely.
Eddie feels guilty for complaining about his leg when the Captain died and sacrificed himself for the soliders. Eddie relizes theres more to life.
Eddie forgave the Captain because he relizes the Captain had to do it in order for Eddie to survive. Eddie feels quilty about the Captain dyign in the landmine.
1. When Eddie sees te picture in his helmet i think he feels sad and lonely. I also think he feels helpless and those feelings of butterflys when he first met marguerite.
2. Eddie realizes if he would have not dwelled on his leg, and realized that it was the thing that saved his life, he could have had a more pleasant life.
3. Eddie forgave the captain because he realizes that the captain sacraficed Eddies leg to save his life. He also sacrafised himself, to save the other soldiers.
