Connector

On Saturdays, Eddie's father took him to the pier. Eddie would leave the apartment with visions of carousels and globs of cotton candy, but after an hour or so, his father would find a familiar face and say, "Watch the kid for me, will ya?" Until his father returned, usually late in the afternoon, often drunk, Eddie stayed in the custody of an acrobat or an animal trainer.

-This can connect to every little kid. When you think of something fun you like to do, you think of the positive things. When Eddie thinks about the pier, he thinks about cotton candy and rides. However, sometimes the plans doesn't go the way you want it to. The part where Eddie's father leaves him for the day and doesn't come back until the late afternoon because he was getting drunk all night might not happen to you. You could of gone to a circus with your family and your little brother gets sick so you have to go home. There are a lot of things that may stop you from having the fun day that you dreamed about.
