Connector

In the novel it says, "All parents damage their children."  I think this is true and easy for teenagers like us to connect to.  This is because there can be a lot of things that we disagree with our parents that we think aren't right.  Even though we might not be hurt by our parents like Eddie is, they can still hurt us emotionally, mentally, and socially. This statement is something that everyone can relate to at least once in their life.

One of the biggest issues in the novel is when Eddie's family has to go through get used to him not being able to use his leg anymore.  In today's society it is very common for someone with a disability to be avoided.  For example most people would try to ignore from someone with a missing limb.  This is shown in society and the book because people are insecure of how to act or what to say to someone disabled.

I think that everyone can really relate to this quote because sometimes our parents are looking out for us but they dont realize how it is effecting us physically mentally and socially.
2.I think that people with disabilities are unfourtantley ignored, and try to almost make it seem like their disability isnt there.

I think that it is true about what you said about how are parents can damage us in ways too. I also agree with what kathryn said about how we can damage our parents too. People have such big impacts on each other. They can be damaging or helpfull but either way they leave everlasting effects

I agree with this very much. I can definitely relate to the quote "All parents damage their children." They may not realize it but every person impacts another whether its a good one or a bad one.

I think this is true also because even though your best interest is kept in mind, children don't always really realize that there just keeping you in mind, I can relate to this definitly.

I think that this is true because parents look out for there childeren and want the best for them even though kids may not want it. And in some ways parents over protect their kids not letting them expierence the challenges in ilfe.
